INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXHIBITORS
ENTRIES
Please hand in completed entry forms and fees with exhibits on Saturday 25th July between 9 and 10:00.
Entry fees:
£1 an entry for adults
50p an entry for children's classes.
ON THE DAY
The Old Cottage Hospital will be open to receive entries from 9 ơ'clock. Please report to the table in the foyer of the Old Cottage Hospital to be booked in and receive your exhibit cards. Exhibits must then be arranged and displayed in the marked section in the main hall.
JUDGING
All exhibits to be in place by 10:15
REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS- exhibits must remain in place until 14:00.
PRIZES
Exhibit Cards will be marked with rosettes- all first prize exhibits will receive a cash prize of £5
Cash prizes to be collected from the sign in table in the foyer.
TIPS FOR EXHIBITORS
This show is for fun and to fundraise for our Coastal projects so please just get involved and have a go.
Follow the description of the class, if it says five in a bowl please just put five in a bow.
Marks are awarded for appearance and flavour in cookery classes. If more than one is specified they need to be even in shape, size and colour.
For jams and preserves, jars and lids must show no signs of aging, labels should be clear. Jars should be filled to the top, but any jar is fine, we love to see recycling and reuse.
Flowers and arrangements should be in a vase of clean water and displayed nicely, free from any damage from insects, disease or weather.
Vegetables and Fruits should be of equal size, shape and colour when more than one requested. Fresh and not limp, clean of soil and without any damage from insect, weather or disease.
