Our Community Garden
Our Community Garden is a shared outdoor space at the heart of the hub, created for everyone to enjoy. It is a calm and has wonderful views across open countryside, where people can spend time outdoors, connect with nature, and feel part of a community.
The garden is open for everyone to use across the week and at weekends. It offers a safe, enclosed space where people who may not have access to their own outdoor area can relax, spend time outside, or let children enjoy supervised, free play in a secure setting.
Nurture and Natter Group
Every Tuesday afternoon, our Nurture and Natter group comes together in the garden. This volunteer-supported group focuses on gardening, connection, and wellbeing.
Together, they tend the space throughout the seasons, growing:
-
Fresh vegetables that are used in our Community Shop
-
Flowers and plants that help brighten and decorate our café tables
It’s a gentle, social group where people can enjoy being outdoors, have a chat, and take part at their own pace.
A Space for Everyone
The Community Garden is open access for all visitors to the hub. It can be used for:
-
Quiet time and relaxation outdoors
-
Meeting friends or enjoying fresh air
-
Gardening and growing together
-
Safe, supervised play for children
-
A peaceful break during a visit to the hub
We want the garden to feel like a shared community resource — a place to slow down, connect, and enjoy being outside.
