Lymphoedema and Lipoedema are both life-long conditions that can negatively impact a person’s physical and psychological wellbeing. Symptoms include swelling, pain, skin changes and cellulitis if sub optimally managed, which in turn can lead to a reduction in mobility and cause anxiety and issues with body image and confidence.

The Pioneer Norfolk Lymphoedema and Lipoedema Clinic at Coastal Health and Wellbeing offers a comprehensive, holistic and empathic approach to diagnose and manage lymphoedema and lipoedema and prevent symptoms from worsening.

​

Services include:

• Initial assessment and diagnosis

• Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)

• Hosiery measuring service and advice

• Teaching clients a range of self-management techniques including Simple Lymphatic Drainage (SLD)

• Lymph scanning to assess levels of fluid

 

The clinic is led by Sophie Catlin-Rose who is a registered specialist lymphoedema nurse, trained in the ‘Fill and Flush Technique’ and has worked for Pioneer Wound Healing and Lymphoedema Centres since 2021. Sophie is also a registered MLD therapist and a member of MLD UK (mlduk.org.uk).

The clinic is open every Tuesday and Thursday at Coastal Health and Wellbeing in Wells-next-the-Sea from 9am to 5pm.
