Cycling Paramedic

Frontline on two wheels

We are honoured to host the East of England Ambulance Service’s Cycle Response Unit (CRU), also known as the Cycling Paramedics.

The Cycling Paramedic team forms an integral part of the East of England ambulance service, particularly in the narrow streets of the North Norfolk coastal villages.

These paramedics, equipped with a full range of life-saving medical equipment in compact form on specially designed e-bikes, can navigate through traffic, crowds and tricky roads efficiently, providing rapid response.

The paramedics operate in Wells-next-the-Sea and surrounding villages and are dispatched to emergency calls just like any ambulance.
