Sally Collins – Sound Therapist

Hi, I’m Sally! From a young age I had an interest in alternative ideas about life and as I grew older, I read lots of books about alternative wellbeing and different holistic therapies.

When I was 19 I was given a gift voucher for a Reiki treatment as I was very poorly. As I lay on the couch feeling the reiki energies going where it needed to go, I realised that there were many things out there to help with healing and wellbeing.  I started to investigate this more and my journey lead me to Sound Therapy.

I have always had a love of music and was aware of how it makes you feel.  Different music can affect you in different ways. After experiencing further reiki treatments and trying out many other therapies including crystal healing, reflexology, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine and many more, I realised that I wanted to train in something myself.  In 2013 I trained in Reiki Level 1 and then I went on to complete Reiki Level 2. I started by using this on family, friends and myself.

I felt that I wanted to learn more and train further in different modalities. I first experienced sound therapy soon after training in reiki and it was a really WOW moment for me.  It blew me away and I realised that Sound Therapy had some wonderful effects on my body.  In that moment it made me think that I needed to understand this more and how sound affects the body.

I started researching sound healing and booked myself on to some Sound Therapy courses in London and trained with Tim Wheater who is highly recommended for his work and his knowledge.

I went on to train in the reiki drum techniques and then tuning forks. I love working with sound and seeing how Sound Therapy really helps people and the effects it has on everyone in very different ways.

I hold a variety of sound bath events.  I attend Mind, Body and Spirit fairs and also offer 1 to 1 treatments for a unique tailored experience. I work on a 1 to 1 basis with Tuning Fork Therapy for Trauma release.

I work with clients who have learning challenges and often do events at nursing homes for the elderly.

I treat people who experience anxiety and depression and are dealing with pain and sleep problems.

Sound therapy helps people in so many ways.
